1 Sirkus Bar

 Sirkus Bar, also known as Sirkus Föroyar is a music and party hub in Tórshavn with a vibrant nightlife on weekends when local bands and DJ’s play.

The bar at Sirkus Föroyar serves original cocktails and local beer and on the ground floor, you can enjoy the first craft beer bar in the Faroese Islands, Bjórkovin.

Sirkus Bar also serves food seven days a week including a large vegan/vegetarian selection. Click here for the menu. The kitchen closes at 10 PM.

2. Glitnir

Glitnir is a sports and karaoke bar in the heart of Tórshavn. Come to this Irish style pub to watch Champions League football and enjoy a steak or go wild on Thursday and Friday Monkey Night with all you can drink beer and cider for 100 kroner!
 

Glitnir has a lot of fun events and games including sports games on big screens, beer pong for cheaper drinks and karaoke every Friday and Saturday.

3. Mikkeller

Mikkeler is a Danish brewery that was founded in Copenhagen in 2006. It has since expanded to several locations worldwide. Mikkeler Tórshavn is housed in a 400 year old wooden house and has delicious beer served from 16 different taps. Click here to see the current selection.

4. Bassalt

Bassalt Bar is a night club in Tórshavn open every Friday and Saturday night.

Bjórkovin, the Beer Hub is the first craft beer bar in the Faroe Islands located on the ground floor of Sirkus Bar.

The tasty craft beer at Bjórkovin comes primarily from the award-winning Icelandic brewery, Borg Brúgghus. If you’re new to the beers at Bjórkovin, make sure to swing by for their beer tasting events.

7. Café Natúr

Café Natúr combines café and pub in one establishment offering both excellent coffee or a sandwich and a beer.

8. Paname Café

9. Brell Café

Everything at Brell Café is fresh and makes for one of the absolute best places in Tórshavn to grab a coffee to go. Of course, if you opt to drink your coffee at Brell Café, you can also order one of the delicious treats from the bakery with it.

Brell Café specializes in so-called “third wave” coffee that works to improve every single step of coffee production for the ultimate flavour. Brell Café hosts coffee tasting events from time to time.

10. Kafé Kaspar

11. Kaffihúsið

Kaffihúsið (Faroese for “The Coffee House) is a cosy café in beautiful surroundings on Tórshavn’s waterfront overseeing the sailboat harbour.

Guests can enjoy delicious pastries – and of course a nice cop of coffee outside when the weather is nice.

Kaffihúsið also has a small shop that sells coffee makers, cups, marmelade, liqorice and much more.

12. Djúsbarr Burn Cafe

Burn is a fitness center with its own café, Djúsbarr (Juice Bar). Djúsbarr of course specializes in healthy juices, smoothies and protein shakes but also serves a variety of healthy snack and brunch options as well as hot coffee.

Guests at Djúsbarr Burn Café are of course welcome to have a workout before and/or after visiting the café but this is not a requirement!

13. hvonn

hvonn is a brasserie in Hotel Tórshavn with a café and bar for more casual visits. The café and bar serves foods like salads, sandwiches, burgers and nachos and has a fully serviced bar with particularly popular mojitos.

14. Kafe Umami

Kafe Umami is open for breakfast, brunch and lunch six days a week with hot and cold coffees and teas as well as fresh juice.

15. Gómagott

At Gómagott, everything is made from scratch from cakes to scones and chocolate.
 
Gómagott serves coffee and tea but is most famous for its delicious hot chocolate complete with Faroese milk.

16. Dugni

Dugni is a self-governed rehabilitation agency funded by the Ministry of Social Affairs. Dugni organizes and provides work experience, rehabilitation and retraining for people who struggle to get and keep a job.

To help with funding, Dugni has its own cozy café where anyone interested in enjoying a hot cup of coffee is welcome.
